----The D DESIGN Evolution Series----

The D Design evolution series, began with the thought of a modified car
for Need for Speed. From the perpective from the modified car scene, the
Evolution series was created. Cars that ran on four cylendre Turbo engines,
pumping out almost 600 Hp. A true modified car that can compete with the
likes of high class ferraris and porches.

I hope that you will continue to follow the D Design series as the Evolution
continues with more models. Each better than the next.

Sincerely,
D Design

---- Evolution I ( December 15 2002 ) ----

The first car of the D Design Evolution series. Consisting of a Turbocharged
and intercooled inline 4, the Evo I produces approximatly 540 bhp at the flywheel.
With a redline of 8200 rpm the evo I is a screamer. With a stiff suspension setup,
the front wheel drive evo I sprints and corners without much hesitation. Yet their
is plenty of travel albeit stiff.

---- Evolution II (January 20 2003 ) ----

The second car of the D Design Evolution series. Consisting of a Turbocharged
and intercooled inline 4, the Evo II produces approximatly 545 bhp at the flywheel.
The Evo II has approximatly 10 more lb/ft of torque than the Evo I in the lower
revolution range of about 1500-4000 rpm, With a redline lowered by 300 to of 7900rpm.
The evo I is a screamer. With a stiff suspension setup, the front wheel drive evo II
has softer anti rollbars in the front and slightly stiffer rear bars. The Evo II sprints
and corners without much hesitation and is now slightly more understear and control.
Acceleration is carried through a slightly taller first and second gear, while the
overall gearbox, has been sharpened and allows less slip. Yet weight balance has
been transfered to the front with a new intake and cooling system, adding approximatly 15
pounds to the car, including the new exaust routing adding the 5Bhp to the top end of
the Evo II's engine. For the new cooling and exaust systems the front and rear of the
Evo II have been redesigned enforcing more downforce on the front of the car.

---- Evolution III ( March 17 2003 ) ----

The third car in the D Design Evolution series. Consisting of a Turbocharged
and intercooled inline 4, the Evo III produces approximatly 553 bhp at the flywheel.
The Evo III has more torque over a larger range than the evo II for more pull, the
revolution range is now about 320lb/ft @ 1300-4900 rpm.The gearbox has been shortened
and all the gears are now closer, for faster shifting, and the ability to always stay
within the powerband. The car has lost about 10 pounds through a new smaller battery,
no located in the front, slightly increasing the balance on the front wheels to 59.5 %.
The exaust tailpipes have been moved again, without effect on the car. The evo III
also has a freshened front with new projector sphere headlights.A new spoiler, providing
slightly better downforce with less resistance, and a new rear light cluster freshen
the back, while a new larger 19" black chrome rims dress the side of the car.
